When an operator needed immediate coring support, Drill Plus was called in to help complete a job that was not progressing as planned.

Within one hour of receiving the call, our team had equipment prepared and dispatched to location. Less than nine hours later, Drill Plus personnel and equipment were on site and ready to support the operation before the rig had even laid down its drilling BHA. Because of this rapid response, the rig experienced no additional non-productive time waiting on our coring system or personnel.

For this project, Drill Plus deployed our 7-7/8" core bit with the RS4 coring system. The operation included three consecutive 180-foot bottom hole assemblies, all completed successfully with 100% core recovery.

In addition to full recovery, the operation achieved an average ROP of 16.57 ft/hr, demonstrating the durability, engineering, and field performance of our RS4 system and the triple-leached PDC cutters used on our core bit.
